Tachikawa Church

This is Tachikawa Church. It is a four story building in an alley near the JR Line Station.

JR Line Station

Here is in inside of the JR Line station in Tachikawa. It is a very busy place and has two malls in it, and a few others near it. The station is constantly busy.

Tama Monorail

The Tama Monorail, empty. The Tama monorail is 16 Km long, and Andrew is the only one who has ridden all 16 Km. It runs from Tama Center to Kamikitadai.

Tama Monorail

This is a view out of the front of the monorail. You can see the tracks in the center of the picture.

Tachikawa East

We have walked down this street to the JR Train station hundreds of times. We know just about every store, shop and restaurant on it.

Tachikawa East

Here you can better see the street. Notice that every building is tall and skinny. All modern Japanese architecture is like this, even thier cars are tall and skinny.

Tachikawa West

Here is the view west in Tachikawa. The monorail makes two stops in Tachikawa, Tachikawa-Minami in the south, and Tachikawa-Kita in the north.

Tachikawa Station

This area is the center of Tachikawa. The station and malls completely divide the city into two parts.

Tachikawa West

Another view of west Tachikawa. Our favorite shop is on the right, the Hyaku En Ya (100 Yen Shop).

Tachikawa North

This is a view of northern Tachikawa. There are four multi-story malls in the area. Isetan is cool because it has a gigantic TV on the side of it, but our favorite by far is Lumine.

Tachikawa North

This area of Tachikawa reminds us of New York. The street is wide and has flora, unlike other places in the city. On the right is a six floor electronics store that the guys like to visit.

Tachikawa Sunset

We were able to capture one beautiful sunset before the Typhoon came in.
